• I installed the new update to 4.0 today and now when I go to a page to edit it there is nothing there, nothing that is on the page shows up!
How do I edit the pages now? I update the different pages several times a day and need to be able to do this.

Are you using any sort of caching plugin, or do you see a “Clear/Purge Cache” button in your Dashboard or admin bar? If so, would you please try clearing the cache?

If that doesn’t work, try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Fourteen theme to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

I have a similar issue. When i select a post to edit, it does not display anything in the editor box, However If i left click in the box I can highlight and see everything there Looks like the font colour for the editor has been set to WHITE so nothing can be seen.

I also have an issue with pages or posts when you use the search facility at the top. As soon as you select search the page displayed is totally blank (everything gone) so you have to sue the back button

How can we fix the font colour in the editor boxes and how do we fix the search option for pages and posts which are no longer working

Pages and post editor are also missing all of the options above the editor like font, heading, tables etc

So, try those three I posted in the first reply.

Tried but did not work. I have several WP sites on my servers. It seems the Inspired Theme does not like WP4 but Magazon theme is fine.

Looks like most if the issues I am getting are down to different themes not working in V4

So you’re saying that using Twenty Fourteen on the affected sites clears up the issues? If so, you’ll need to get in touch with the problem theme’s designer.

Did not worry with 2014 I deleted the complete site (left the database) uploaded the back up of the site (Not database) and all back to normal with WP V3.9.2 Strange thing though it asked me to update the database (which it did in Version 4. SO i updated the database and all is good

So anyone using Inspired theme do not update WP as the theme is incompatible. Follow the general rule of thumb and back up entire site and database before updating to V4 in case your theme has issues. If it does just roll back and as Mac said above check with the theme developer and/or plug in developers

Perhaps WP could provide a beta version before such a major update to give developers a chance to test their plug ins and themes out before it is released so everyone is ready for it

Alpha, Beta, and Release Candidate releases are all freely available to the public months before the final release, and all theme and plugin developers are invited to test (and update) their products prior to the final release.

Betas and Release Candidates are announced at http://wordpress.org/news/

    Alphas are announced at http://make.wordpress.org/core/

Inspired Theme’s CurtyCurt seems to have gone missing. Anyone know how to get a response? Action? Update? I have sites using Inspired and won’t be upgrading to WP4.0 anytime soon:(

Sorry, I’ll start a new thread with that last comment. No need to respond.
