  • There are various plugins that allow for Follow options. Jetpack (http://jetpack.me/) offers a way for users to subscribe to your site, as well as other features you might have liked when your site was on WordPress.com.

Hi I have that which allows me to add the email subscribe box but doesnt show the wordpress follow button? Sorry if Im not making sense see my old and new blog as detailed above. The old wordpress free site shows the button in the right panel. there is no option to add that button in the new managed one?

The Follow option on WordPress.com works a little differently because you can follow a blog on WordPress.com directly via the Reader. (You can follow other blogs via the Reader as well, but they have to be added manually).

For self-hosted blogs, there’s no Reader, so visitors will need to either follow via social media (Facebook, etc.) or email.
