Plugin does not work with new API

It seems like this plugin will not work with the new version of the Facebook API, if you create your FB app after 4/30/2014. You now must get your app approved to publish posts. There are two problems with this:

1. It looks like you need to give FB access to “test” a post..not doing that, when my site does not allow for the public to sign up, just authors have accounts.

2. It says before I can submit for approval I need to test publishing an article. But when you try to authorize an account, it says it won’t give access to publish, and then nothing ever happens.

Basically, you’re in a catch 22, because to submit you need to test publish, but you can’t even test publish.
