Getting started with a multi-language Web site

I posted another question in plugins for multi-language Web site plugin
than I realized I have no idea what I am doing with these plugins…

Most plugins require php coding, which I dont know.

So here I am asking you to refer me to how to start a multi-language Web site without using coding. what are the first steps i need to take.
Maybe someone can give me some usefull links. Ill be happy to read them and hopefuly step by step i can figure this one out!
