• I’m really confused on this one. Every few days, the icons on my post subpanel either rearrange or become a strange icon that doesn’t even belong there. This seems to have started happening since I registered my site with technorati and they were trying to do their validation that I owned the domain. I just found an older post that mentioned replacing the wp-admin directory when the subpanel disappeared. This is what I have been doing but I was curious if anyone else has run into this problem? It is really a nuisance to click the link button and it ask you to insert a picture.

More info: This seems to happen after I save a post and it says post saved at the top of the page. When I clicked on write post, it went back to normal.

Now this is happening all the time, was this fixed in the recent wordpress version?

If you’re the only it happens to, it probably wasn’t fixed in 2.0.3.

So, share some more details. For instance, you mention technorati validation. What did you do at your site to make that happen? Add some code to a file? Add a new file?
If you added code to a file, it would be interesting to know what code and to what file.

After some more time to examine it, I don’t think that is what caused it, that is just the time frame I noticed it. After a little more time to experiment, I think the problem has to do with Firefox doing some weird caching of the icons used in the subpanel.

To answer your question though, I did not make any changes to the files from technorati. They do ask for a database name and password to verify that you own your site(wasn’t crazy about this). After that I not only changed my WP login but also my db login and password.

If clearing my cache fixes the problem, I can deal with that. Like you said, probably not a bug, just my wacky computer. Thanks for the response.
