Creating multiple thumbnails

Hi there,
Each time I upload an image to create a thumbnail for my gallery, NextGEN creates 8 or 9 thumbnails instead of just a single one.

It used to work fine, just creating a single thumbnail, so I do not know what has gone wrong.

Any help much appreciated.
