No ThickBox setting does not adjust image count

version 1.9
I have set Auto ThickBox Plus to a Display Style of Gallery Images.
My front page has a small slideshow which I want to exclude, so I entered the class slideshow-content into the settings for No ThickBox. Those images are now excluded, but the image count was not adjusted, so my one image where I do want thickbox shows 1 of 6. Clicking on Next shows the same image with 2 of 6, etc.
