• Hi,
i downloaded the latest wordpress, got the database set up (i already done that with phpbb and no problem), i edit the config file but i get this:

Parse error: parse error in /3w/wz.cz/f/farsouth/wp-admin/install.php on line 89

    my page is on http://www.farsouth.wz.cz

now i wanted to ask, the “localhost” thing, what is it? i tried filling in the adress of mysql server but it doesnt work with it… nor without it

  • That looks like a rather strange server path. Is this a Linux server running Apache? Usually the server path has something like /public_html/ or /wwww/ before the webroot (which contains wp-admin).

Localhost is normally just set to localhost.

Also, the source of the error page shows some weird ad javascript. Is domain parking possibly turned on?

Well the ads has to be there… my webhost puts it there automatically, do you think this might be the problem?
As for the first question, I don’t really know.
I put localhost back to config file, now i have two errors showing up:

Parse error: parse error, expecting ','' or ‘;” in /3w/wz.cz/f/farsouth/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 357

    WebZdarma.cz

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: hide_errors() in /3w/wz.cz/f/farsouth/wp-settings.php on line 120

    Anyone can help please?

solved, it was my webhost problem, temporary shutdown
