• Hi, really like this gallery plugin, but I am having trouble understanding the lightbox set up. The images in my albums don’t display in a pop overlay. I have had a look at the Demo site (WPPA+ Docs & Demos) and they are working on that site, but not mine and I just don’t get it. I have tried installing auto thickbox plus, Lightbox Plus and Simple Lightbox plugins, which work with images I have published using WordPress and also tried deactivating them to get wp-photo-album-plus working, but no joy?

You need to set Table IX-A6. If it is set to wppa the generic wppa lightbox is used for wppa galleries without the need of a lightbox plugin. Otherwise set it to lightbox if you want a different lightbox plugin for wooa galleries.

Thanks for the reply. I tried setting the Table in IX-A6 and it has no effect, the images just will not open off the page, which also means they are not showing at full size.
Could it have something to do with upgrading to WP 3.4 maybe?
Here is the URL to my site, if you could take a look it would be great (I know it is not aligned properly as yet).

Either you have set Table IX-A6 (Lightbox keyword) to Lightbox or you have set your lightbox plugin to add the ‘rel=”lightbox”‘ attributes.

Set IX-A6 to wppa (lower case!) and configure in Table VI (Link type) the items that you want to open lightbox to lightbox

If it still does not work, de-activate your lightbox plugin or configure it that it should NOT add (or overwrite existing) rel=”lightbox” attributes.

UPDATED POST. I discovered the setting I needed was in Table VI: Links. Also, to get my Simple Lightbox plugin to work I needed to “Enable backwards-compatibility with legacy lightbox links
    (Default: Disabled)”.
There are still a few settings I haven’t figured out as yet eg: how to set the size of the lightbox pop-up with the “Lightbox keyname” set to wppa and how to have the slideshow run in lightbox mode? I am still exploring all the settings and would like to take the opportunity to thank you for the great gallery and your support 🙂

Size is automatic to fill the screen height for approx 95% unless the physical size of the photofile is smaller.
If there is html in the description (like Camera info) that opens i.e. changes the size of the text, it will automaticly change the photo size to fit if you set Table I-G1 to auto and have wppaOvlResize(); in the onclick attribute of the anchor tag. (see the default New photo decription in Table IX-B4)
