    Hello,

My site is hosted with GoDaddy, and I can change to the WP platform from within my account – there’s a WP installation function.

Once I switch to WP, I’ll have the default WP template to build with, but I want to use a theme – I’ve downloaded Suffusion and I’ll probably use that one.

So, question: how do I change the basic WP template so that the site appears with my theme of choice? Again, I’ve already downloaded the theme, but I’ll need to somehow overwrite the default WP template. Any advice on what to do for this?

    Thanks.

you goto the admin section of WP, then you click on appearance -> themes

you’ll notice a tab that says “Install Themes” click it, then you’ll notice a link that says “Upload”, click it, it will ask you to select the file (the zip file for your desired theme), select it, then upload it.

once it’s uploaded, it will auto-install, then ask you if you want to preview it, or activate it.

if you activate, it becomes the default theme
