Reserved documents

Hi all,
i’d like to add to my site some reserved pages to publish note and document files (pdf files) that i want to show to selected group of persons.
Do i need some special plugins or can i do it by standard settings?
Which role should i select for the selected users?
How can i filter the view of this pages?
