How to wrap date, month, year in spans

    Herro guys,

    Using Starkers theme here.

    Working on a pretty regular blog for the most part. Displaying the posted_on in a weird way, and part of the styling requires that I wrap the month, day, and year in separate spans.

    I’m looking at the functions.php file and I can see where its doing %3$s… i know this is somehow calling all the content – month, day, year, and I need to wrap each part in a span… can’t figure out how to do this.

    Any tips? Many thanks
