Good php plugin?

I am looking for a puligin which can be used to add php code to pages, the problem is that I find when switching between the visual editor and the html editor the php code is commented out. The code does need to run, I have used exec php but this comments out the code.
I need to be able to use both the visual editor and the html editor.
Any suggestions?
