Problem with running install script

    PHP Version 5.2.14
    MySQL Version 5.0.77

    The other day I got my first wordpress blog running, and it is still running well. I went to make another blog on my site, and now it will not connect to the database. I have checked and rechecked the information, and I am positive it is correct in the wp-config file. I did a fresh install and it still did not work. Created two new databases and user sets and still did not work. I even used the wp-config file from my other blog and changed the prefix (another recommended method for creating multiple blogs) and it wouldn’t connect to the already existing, working wordpress server.

    Help is much appreciated!
