Setting for Email Notification

Hello, In general I seem to be unable to find the setting for where Amelia will send email notification to a) the employee when a booking is made, and b) the client letting them know their request was received. I’ve tried setting an email in Settings>Notifications>Email, I’ve tried using both WP Mail and PHP Mail. Nothing comes through when I create a test booking. SMTP and the others are grayed out, I’m guessing they are only supported with the paid version?
Do the appointments need to be auto-approved for this? Right now they are set to pending approval. I’ve looked through many tutorial videos on how to set the plugin up, and all the basic tutorials seem to skip this part? Thank you
