These are the errors and when I deactivate the wordfence, the problem resolved.

    • “Updating failed. Could not update the meta value of _acf_changed in database.”
    • “Updating failed. Could not update the meta value of footnotes in database.”
    •  “Updating failed. Could not update the meta value of _links_to in database.”

Hi @alithewpdev, thanks for reaching out!

I’ve not seen that message before in relation to Wordfence but it’s WordPress suggesting normal post meta writes are failing. As disabling Wordfence seems to solve it, it could be a false-positive in the firewall or possibly a plugin conflict.

I’d try to treat it as a false-positive first and turn Learning Mode on for a short period to try allowing the post submissions again. If they start working, return the firewall to “Enabled and Protecting” and try again.

If you see Wordfence continuing to block something that you’ve tried during Learning Mode, visit the Live Traffic page immediately afterwards. If there is a block, check the block reason after expanding the entry with the eye icon in the corner. You can filter Live Traffic by “Blocked” so it’s easier to find. You may find a specific firewall rule or Wordfence setting stated here after expanding the entry. The reason is shown in red text.

Feel free to paste that reason here if you’re unable to manually allowlist it using the “ADD PARAM TO FIREWALL ALLOWLIST” button on the Live Traffic page.

Let us know how you get on,
    Peter.
