Date picker doesn’t open based on current field setting

If the WPForms field has a date selected, when you click to open the date picker it sets the date to today rather than the selected day. This is a great little plug-in, would it be possible to change that behavior so that the picker opened to the current field value, if there is one?

I haven’t tried the time picker, but I assume there is similar behavior.
