If you upload the Profile Photo via the User Account page
and not via the Profile page by clicking the cog wheel in the upper right corner
the reply is “Not supported any more”

How can I disable the upload option on the profile page? I’m using the “ultimatemember_account” shortcode and I didn’t see an option to remove the upload button.

Deactivate the Profile Photo plugin from UM Extended or via WP Plugins.
