    Hi.
I’ve got a strange problem and can’t find a solution for it. I’ve Woocommerce + products filter plugin (pwfwoofilter pro) on a roots/sage theme. The filter is used for pretty urls. I’ve declared multiple product taxonomies and filter products by them. The product_cat structure in categories and sub-categories. Already have tried: permalinks, deactivating plugins, default functions.php and many more.
The problem here is that when I filter in product_cat page, the filter works fine but when I get the url with the filters in it and I paste the url in new tab or just refresh the page, the filtration is not taking affect and the sub-categories are listed. The interesting thing is that is not the case when I filter in sub-category page. When I filter in sub-category page all is good and when I refres or paste link in new tab it filters the products correctly. Can someone give me a hint?
    ps
The plugin author is not active and can’t contact with. However this was working before some time but suddenly it stopped and I can’t relate it with something that I did.
    Thanks.

  • Hello @gdoff,

    Thank you for reaching out.

I understand you’re experiencing an issue with the product filter plugin (pwfwoofilter pro) on your WooCommerce site when you filter on the product category page and then refresh or open the URL in a new tab.

For reference, this particular forum is meant for general support with the core functionality of WooCommerce itself. For assistance with issues related to third-party plugins, I recommend reaching out to the plugin developer as they’re better placed to provide assistance.

    I hope this helps!

    Hi @ckadenge,
    Thanks for the reply.
I’m writing here because I’m not quite sure where the problem lies. This feature was working perfectly, but at some point, it just stopped. There were several changes in the code and possibly some plugin updates, but none in the filter plugin. The code in the filter plugin is the same as when it was working. Since the plugin author is unreachable, I thought someone here might have faced the same issue.
However, I understand that this might not be the right place for this.

    Best regards

    Hi @gdoff ,

Thanks for sharing more details. It sounds like the issue started unexpectedly, even though the filter plugin’s code hasn’t changed. I can see why this is frustrating, especially with the plugin author being unreachable.

While this forum might not be the perfect place to troubleshoot custom code or third-party plugins, someone here might have encountered a similar issue and could share insights. If you haven’t already, you could also check the plugin’s documentation or community channels for additional support.

Let us know if you need guidance on anything WooCommerce-related. 😊
