    Hello,
it worked with my Joomla 1.5.20 to WP 3.0.1 but:
    – it created in WP a new user called migratorassistant
    – all the imported posts now are written by migratorassistant
    – on Joomla side there is migratorassistant
    – on Joomla side there is NO MORE the original administrator so, i’m not able to enter in the Joomla back-end !!!

    Are there correct ??!?!?!?

    thanks

actually that is not possible – the plugin is not changing anything in the joomla mysql tables!

the migrated posts should be from the same author as they are written in joomla. the first step of the migration is the user migration.

so i have no ides how the user “migratorassistant” could be created. did this exists before?

I’m browsing the original Joomla’s users table and I don’t see it.
A minute before the migration i was able to login as admin; then i was no more able cause the admin user was overwritten from the ‘migrationassistant’ user.

if you have the original joomla tables, can you send me an mysql dump of them – I would like to do the migration with them on my webserver.

I have no idea how this user could be created.

as I wrote, the plugin does as the first step the user migration – means it reads the user table from joomla and creates a user with same name in wp. the plugin does not change the names.
