First of all, your website has a defective or faulty SSL certificate. You should first clarify this with your hoster if necessary.

For this reason I could not access your site to see what you mean. You talk about using Elementor. I would recommend you to contact their support (if the SSL is working again on your site): https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/elementor/

All I see on the address you gave (after bypassing the security warning) is:

“Please stand by while configuration is in progress.”

I don’t see any sign of a WordPress installation at all.

If you have indeed installed WordPress, I’ll recommend you get in touch with your website hosting provider to get the domain pointed to the correct folder where WordPress is installed.

Ok, digging deeper, I can see you have the WordPress site installed and even SSL configured at the root domain (ie without the www), but you’re not redirecting the www subdomain to the same site.

    So this works: https://example.com/

    But this doesn’t: https://www.example.com/

You need to configure your webserver to redirect www to the root domain.

Thank you for helping out! How do I configure my webserver please?

You’ll need to contact your host for help with this, as every host’s environment is different.

However, i’m still facing the problem that i can’t seem to manage to install my homepage as first page when you enter the url

    1) Go to SETTINGS => READING

    2) Under “Your homepage displays”, select “A static page”

    3) Click the drop-down menu next to “Homepage”, select your homepage from there, and save changes.

    4) Optionally, under “Posts Page”, you may select any page to display your latest blog posts on. Note that any content you’ve added to this page in the editor will be ignored completely once you select it to display your latest blog posts (unless your theme is doing something fancy with this setting)

    Good luck!
