    Hi there @igssupport 👋🏽!

Thank you for reaching out to MailPoet Support!

i have set up 2 different welcome emails for each membership role but nothing is sent or received.

Could you please have a look at this tutorial that explains how to troubleshoot Welcome Emails and then reach back to us again explaining what you have done and the setup with more details?

Also, are both roles added to different lists? This will allow you to send different emails to them.

    Thanks for your reply,
I have read and made this troubleshooting before contacting you.

    OK, here are more details:

    1. In the WordPress settings New User Default Role: Subscriber
    2. Paid Membership Pro has 2 user levels: Entrepreneurs and Investor
    3. When a new user is registered, the user can choose the level: Entrepreneurs or Investor
    4. When a new user is registered as an Entrepreneurs, he receives an automated email from the website that he has registered as an Entrepreneurs, this is sent from the Paid Membership Pro plugin and I want to send another email using the MailPoet welcome email
    5. When a new user is registered as an Investor, he receives an automated email from the website that he has registered as an Investor, this is sent from the Paid Membership Pro plugin and I want to send another email using the MailPoet welcome email
    6. All is setup correctly:
    https://ibb.co/XYwnsK0
But it doesn’t count or send any emails
I have tried and registered new users as Entrepreneurs and Investor, you are receiving all other emails, even the ”Confirm your subscription” email from Mailpoet
https://ibb.co/0Mc13Mr and even though it is confirmed no welcome email, I can see that the new user status in your plugin is Subscribed, there is no email sent to the user.
This is the Entrepreneurs welcome email settings https://ibb.co/ZhYy4Fb
This is the Investor welcome email settings https://ibb.co/8NZbKvv

When I open the preview and use the Send preview it is sent and I receive it https://ibb.co/Wxmh5KM but when a new user is registered 🙁 nothing.

I tried with MailPoet Sending Service (created a free account and used the activation key in my website, and verified the DNS), and i tried with the Your web host / web server option, nothing when someone is registered.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the additional details.

Could you share a screenshot for one of those subscribers that have been added to the Enterpreneurs role? I would like to verify their status and see if it is ‘Subscribed’ indeed.

If it is ‘Subscribed’ can you also share a Screenshot from ‘MailPoet > Help > System Status’ to see if there’s any scheduled task?

    Thanks for your patience

I have a similar problem. Very annoying.

The mail get scheduled, when changing a users’ role, but never sent.

https://github.com/mailpoet/mailpoet/issues/4082 (support is not interested in using Github…)

Thanks to this ticket, the problem was: existing users are unsubscribed by default…

It would be great if Mailpoet could improve on this. This was quite invisible. (see my comment over at Github)

    Hi there @igssupport,

Thanks for getting back to us!

So I see that your subscribers are assigned the correct roles and are subscribed, but Welcome emails are not sent. Can you please check if it’s sent when you’re adding a user with such role in wp-admin > Users?

@adrian2k7 I believe your problem was different because your users were unsubscribed.

Please open a separate thread if you need further help or use https://www.mailpoet.com/support if you’re a paying customer.

You’re also welcome to add your suggestions here https://feedback.mailpoet.com. Our team will take it into account when discussing new features and improvements for the plugin 🙂

Hello, when I add a new user via the wp-admin, I choose Role: Entrepreneur, the new user receives the Login Details email https://ibb.co/2dktYkf, receives the Confirm your subscription email, I confirmed the subscription, and this time, about 6 min after the confirmation I received the welcome email. So why is this not happening when a real user is creating a new account?

    (@treibalen)

    Hi there @igssupport,

    Thanks for testing!

So if I got it right, the Welcome email is sent when you create a user with a specific role manually, but it doesn’t get sent or even scheduled when you use the Paid Membership Pro plugin even though your subscribers receive a confirmation email and confirm their subscription.

When scheduling a Welcome email based on the user’s role, MailPoet listens to the profile_update hook. If the Paid Membership Pro plugin doesn’t trigger that hook we cannot schedule the newsletter. Some plugins switch the role in the database and that won’t work either.

Can you please check this with the Paid Membership Pro support?

Let us know how it goes!
