editing posts with images w/captions

Hello:

My problem is removing an image with a caption from a post. Seems the text adjacent to the caption assumes the font size and it quite a chore to get it back.

I have to cut/paste text into notepad, select all making sure it’s all same size, cut/paste back into NEW post, then reintroduce images.

I’m using fluid blue theme.
