Numerous problems

    For the first time in many years of using wordpress, I am having numerous problems with version 2.9.2. I cannot add images nor edit them. Nor can I add tags or schedule post times.

    For a few days now I have worked around some of these problems by creating and editing my posts in ecto on my computer and uploading from there, but I would like to solve.

    I have read various suggestions here and have followed these: 1) reinstallation of wordpress (using automatic re-install), and 2) empty browser cache. If I need to edit a php file, I ask for specific directions because I’m definitely an amateur.

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress?

    – increasing your available memory?
