• Tried to post this morning, but the dashboard screen is coming up with a “fatal error” message and code which is all just gobbledygook to me. It does say I should check site admin inbox for instructions, but there’s nothing there. (Unless it’s different from the email where I normally get notifications?) Apart from throwing myself on floor wailing, what do I do? Is there any hope???

    If you have not received error message to your mailbox (have you checked spam box ?) then you will have to look onto PHP error logs (you can ask your hosting support where you can find them), look for something like Fatal or Parse error near the end of file.

    Or you can try debugging with some other method.

    You can post that error message here, so we can help you with deciphering it.

    Thank you, Yui! The message did eventually arrive in my inbox but it’s not much help, sending me to recovery mode which simply displays the same message:

    Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Cannot use object of type stdClass as array in /home/customer/www/careerusinterruptus.com/public_html/wp-content/themes/citylogic/functions.php:200 Stack trace: #0 /home/customer/www/careerusinterruptus.com/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(292): citylogic_admin_notice(”) #1 /home/customer/www/careerusinterruptus.com/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(316): WP_Hook->apply_filters(NULL, Array) #2 /home/customer/www/careerusinterruptus.com/public_html/wp-includes/plugin.php(484): WP_Hook->do_action(Array) #3 /home/customer/www/careerusinterruptus.com/public_html/wp-admin/admin-header.php(288): do_action(‘admin_notices’) #4 /home/customer/www/careerusinterruptus.com/public_html/wp-admin/index.php(115): require_once(‘/home/customer/…’) #5 {main} thrown in /home/customer/www/careerusinterruptus.com/public_html/wp-content/themes/citylogic/functions.php on line 200`
