All good, I closed out of wordpress and went back in and it deleted fine.
I also can’t delete the plugin. What do you mean when you say closed out of wordpress? I tried logout of the site and log back in, but did not help.
I worked out that it’s a caching thing. So for me I deactivate a plugin, then purge caches, then I’m able to delete it.
Thanks for the reply. I did clear my cache as well. In fact I tried to delete with Chrome and Firefox, but no luck.
Hmm that’s frustrating! Sorry not sure what else to try. Did you clear your browser history?
So annoying! Hopefully the plugin developer will see this and reach out. Sorry I can’t be of more help.
Dear @sarahkentwell ,
Happy to see clearing cache helped resolve the problem for you.
Hello @francoc30 ,
Could you tell us what happens when trying to delete the plugin? What result do you have?
1. Which version of our plugin were you using?
2. Which option from the form did you click?
3. When saying “doesn’t work”, could you provide with more specific information? Any visual aid, like screenshots, would be appreciated.
Thanks befoehand!
I finally resolved it. I have to deactivate the WP-Staging plugin. Then I can delete. Somehow the staging plugin makes it as if my site is a multisite installation which was known to have caused deletion problem.
Thanks all for your time and response.
Dear @francoc30 ,
Thank you for sharing the result with us.
Glad to see the issue is finally resolved.
Just some info to add here, it is possible to deactovate our plugin (and plugins in general) by renaming it via FTP. This might be useful for the future.
And we would very much appreciate it if you could share with us why you wished to delete the plugin. Was there something you didn’t like?
