Sorting problem

    In the documentation, it says that sorting should be sorted by newest first, which is what I want, but it’s sorting it by oldest first. Tried turning the sorting option on and off and it’s still oldest first. How can that be changed?

    Hi @gediweb,

    Yes, by default comments are sorted by newest comments (new comments on top). This is based on the according to WordPress native discussions setting in Dashboard > Settings > Discussions admin page.

    However, starting from the wpDiscuz 5.1.6 version wpDiscuz remembers comment ordering type you’ve selected on your last visit. So if you select the “Oldest” ordering on your last visit the comments will be sorted by oldest even if you’ve set the “Newest” from the settings page.
