• It performs it’s function…. however, and this is important one.

I live in Germany and built my website in German. English is the additional, second language. This means that all photos were initially uploaded while building the German portion. The photos only have those typical numbers name .jpg. Nothing else.

When we began to build the English pages, there was an issue we could not understand. Namely, the Media / Gallery was empty. No, they were there, but could not access them as we did from the German language pages. After a lot of wasted time trying to understand why, it came down to Polylang…. a translation plugin… translating languages? Huh?!?! Once this ‘language’ plugin was deactivated, we were able to access the Media page and add photos to the English language pages.

A bit contradictory to it’s function, I would say.

  • Not sure where your problem is or what do you you to say with your post.
Maybe this will help you to understand how to work with media:

I believe I explained it quite well. I could not load photos from Media onto English pages without deactivating Polylang first.

The link you provided shows something at odds when compared to the WP dashboard I am working with. Namely, under languages, Media on my end only shows the ability to deactivate or activate. There is no ‘settings’.

Regardless, I do have a work-around, which again defeats the purpose of a language plugin.
