Private Member Directory

    Hi,

    I would like to know if it is possible to have a member directory for logged in members that shows members who have opted to keep there profile private. I have selected “can view private members” on the corresponding roles however the members still do not show in the directory for the logged in user. The link is for a test website.

    Hi @rhysmackenzie,

    Unfortunately, it’s not possible. Only admins can see members who opted to keep their profile private.

    Thank you, are you able to tell me the difference between the two options;
    – Profile Privacy, &
    – Hide my profile from directory

    Hi @rhysmackenzie,

    Profile privacy means that users can select who can see their profile e.g. “Everyone”, “Only me” etc.

    Hide my profile from directory means that you can either hide your profile from directory e.g /members page or not.

    Hi,

    I’m sorry still struggling to understand this – have I got the below right??

    1) If a member set;
    – Profile Privacy: Everyone
    – Directory: Hide

    The only way their profile would be visible is if someone enters their specific profile url??

    —–

    2) If a member set;
    – Profile Privacy: Only Me
    – Directory: Visible

    There profile would not be accessible via the url or the directory??

    —–

    3) If a member set;
    – Profile Privacy: Everyone
    – Directory: Visible

    There profile would show in the member directories & via their specific URL as well??

    —–

    4) If a member set;
    – Profile Privacy: Only Me
    – Directory: Hide

    There profile would not be accessible via the URL or show in the directory?
