This plugin hasn’t been tested with the latest 3 major releases of WordPress. It may no longer be maintained or supported and may have compatibility issues when used with more recent versions of WordPress.



With WPSuperCountdown you can hide some content (like whole articles, links, graphics, or videos) for a definable period of time. When the countdown reaches 00:00:00 the hidden content will show up and replace the former counter. Also a cookie will be set so the user don’t see the specific counter again but the whole article without latency.

Integration into a blog post



value: e.g. 5s (five seconds), 30m (30 minutes), 8h (eight hours)

content: any content you want to show up after the time ran out

  1. Copy folder wpsupercountdown to your /wp-content/plugins/ directory
  2. Activate the plugin in your admin-panel (‘Plugins’)
  3. Place [countdown:value|content] anywhere in your post
