WP Pirates Search


Plug-in automatically interrogates the search engines to find copies of articles and blog entries from your own site. Found copyes are displayed in a list of links. You can disable the search for copies of individual articles. Found copyes can be marked as a legal copy. You can also specify sites whose pages are always going to be excluded from the search.

Default settings are sufficient for 99% of sites.

  • Ability to start processing by CRON or automatically, without its use;
  • Searching for copies through the search engines Google and Yandex (Russian search engine);
  • Ability to specify, what pages to be excluded from processing;
  • Ability to observe that the copy is removed on foreign site;
  • Ability to mark a copy of the plagiarism for further monitoring.

Pay attention! Before activating of this plugin please deactivate his earlier versions — plugins “Posts Compare” and “Plagiat Search”. If you do not do this, attempt to activate plugin will cause a fatal error — it deliberately to make protection against possible disruptions caused by the simultaneous operation of two plugins.

  1. Upload full directory into your wp-content/plugins directory
  2. Activate the plugin at plugin administration page
  3. In the Dashboard menu will appear new item Search for pirates
  4. Open the plugin configuration page, which is located under Options > Search for pirates and check settings.
