This is a WordPress plugin created to allow users to paste tweets\ndirectly into blog posts and pages.<\/p>\n\n

It uses the TweetPaste<\/a> API to\nobtain a block, formatted in a similar way to twitter.com updates.<\/p>\n\n

Tweets can be embedded using a simple shortcode, and there are a\nnumber of options available to customise the look of the blocks.<\/p>\n\n

Basic usage<\/h3>\n\n
    \n
  1. Find the tweet you wish to embed, and click its permalink (the link\nwhich gives the time at which the tweet was posted)<\/li>\n
  2. Note down the URL of the tweet<\/li>\n
  3. Place [tweet url=%url]<\/code> in a page or post, where %url is\nthe permalink to the tweet.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n

    You can also simply specify the ID of the tweet using [tweet id=%id]<\/code>.\n(The ID is the string of numbers at the end of the tweet permalink.)<\/p>\n\n

    Customisation<\/h3>\n\n

    All of the following are optional, and defaults can be customised through\nthe Settings > Embedded tweets menu option in WordPress<\/p>\n\n

    iframe_width<\/h4>\n\n

    The width (in pixels) of the tweet box (default is 500)<\/p>\n\n

    iframe_height<\/h4>\n\n

    The height (in pixels) of the tweet box (default is 200).\nNote that the box will scale vertically to fit the size of the tweet\n(via JavaScript), so this setting isn\u2019t always necessary<\/p>\n\n

    show_background<\/h4>\n\n

    Valid values: 1<\/code> or 0<\/code><\/p>\n\n

    Show the twitterer\u2019s background colour (default is 1)<\/p>\n\n

    include_padding<\/h4>\n\n

    Valid values: 1<\/code> or 0<\/code><\/p>\n\n

    Useful if you\u2019ve set show_background to 0; removes the padding around\nthe tweet box (default is 1)<\/p>\n\n

    show_username<\/h4>\n\n

    Valid values: 1<\/code> or 0<\/code><\/p>\n\n

    Show the twitterer\u2019s username and avatar (default is 1)<\/p>\n\n

    show_source<\/h4>\n\n

    Valid values: 1<\/code> or 0<\/code><\/p>\n\n

    Show the source of the tweet: ie \u201cvia Web\u201d (default is 1)<\/p>\n\n\n

    1. Upload tweetpaste-embed<\/code> to the \/wp-content\/plugins\/<\/code> directory<\/li>\n
    2.
