This plugin is unnecessary as its provides a subset of the functionality of the built-in ?Embedded Media? custom field which uses the oEmbed API which is a much better and more reliable way of doing this than what I am doing in this plugin. For the plugin Types<\/a> this plugin implements a Types custom field for YouTube videos and also the Types shortcode to show the video. The website for this plugin is here<\/a>. This plugin requires Types 1.5.3 and PHP 3.4 or later.<\/p>\n\n\n

    From the Dashboard select 'Types' -> 'Custom Fields' -> 'Add a custom fields group'. Look at the 'Available Fields' box. There should be a button with label 'YouTube'.<\/p>\n\n

    How to get the YouTube video URL?<\/h4>\n\n

    Right click anywhere inside the youTube video. Select 'Copy Video URL' from the pop-up menu. Copy (to clipboard) the displayed URL. Paste this URL into the YouTube video custom field text input box.<\/p>\n\n\n
