However, sometimes these owners might want to allow anonymous users to post comments on selected posts and pages. This is where the simple and basic Open Post plugin comes into play. On a website or blog where comments can only be posted by registered users, you can use this plugin to override this on posts and pages of your choice.<\/p>\n\n<p>Check out some of the other <a href=\"http:\/\/www.spunkyjones.com\/\">WordPress plugins<\/a> by the same author.<\/p>\n\n<!--section=installation-->\n<ol>\n<li>Upload the whole plugin folder to your \/wp-content\/plugins\/ folder.<\/li>\n<li>Go to the Plugins page and activate the plugin.<\/li>\n<li>Edit the file \/wp-comments-post.php located under the root of your WordPress installation and find:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<p>get_option('comment_registration')<\/p>\n\n<p>Replace it with:<\/p>\n\n<p>(get_post_meta($comment_post_ID, 'openpost_allow', true) != true &amp;&amp; get_option('comment_registration'))<\/p>\n\n<p>Save and close the file.<\/p>\n\n<p>Then open the comments.php file located under your theme's folder and find:<\/p>\n\n<p>get_option('comment_registration')<\/p>\n\n<p>Replace it with:<\/p>\n\n<p>get_post_meta($post-&gt;ID, 'openpost_allow', true) != true &amp;&amp; get_option('comment_registration')<\/p>\n\n<p>Save and close the file.<\/p>\n\n<ol>\n<li>You are done.
