For federal and state public holidays that may land on a weekend, you can choose to display the actual date of the holiday or the designated observed weekday date.<\/p>\n\n<!--section=installation-->\n<p>In most cases you can install automatically from WordPress.<\/p>\n\n<p>However, if you install this manually, follow these steps:<\/p>\n\n<ol>\n<li>Upload the entire <em>show-date-for-days-name<\/em> folder to the \/wp-content\/plugins\/ directory. <\/li>\n<li>Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<p>FYI: There is no \"control panel\" for this plugin.<\/p>\n\n<!--section=faq-->\n<dl>\n<dt id='what%20holidays%20are%20recognized%20by%20the%20plugin%3F'><h3>What holidays are recognized by the plugin?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>An example of the shortcode and attributes for this plugin are as follows:<\/p>\n\n<p>[showdatefor name=\"holiday\" date=\"observed\"]<\/p>\n\n<p>Shortcode <em>attributes<\/em> have changed with version 1.3.<\/p>\n\n<p>The <em>date<\/em> attribute should be set to [ actual | observed ]. The default is the actual date of the holiday for the calendar year.
