Easy WP LaTeX<\/em> provides a very easy way to display equations or mathematical formulas (typed in as TeX or LaTeX code) in your posts.<\/p>\n\n

Most LaTeX\/equation plugins I have seen suffer from a few drawbacks.<\/p>\n\n

    \n
  1. They require installations of TeX or other packages on your server.<\/li>\n
  2. They are fairly inflexible in terms of colors of text and background.<\/li>\n
  3. Each time you switch your theme, you have to re-configure your color scheme.<\/li>\n
  4. They may not let you choose how to input LaTeX code. ([math]...[\/math] or $$...$$) without editing the plugin code.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n

    My plugin aims to be flexible, and easy to install (no geeky code editing etc.).<\/p>\n\n

    PS: You may need to change the file permission of the cache<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n

    This plugin is based on Latex for WordPess<\/em> by zhiqiang, and shares some features and core engine code with it.<\/p>\n\n\n

    1. Upload the Easy WP LaTeX<\/em> plugin (the whole easy-latex folder) to the '\/wp-content\/plugins\/' directory.<\/li>\n
    2. Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress.<\/li>\n
    3. Go to the Setup -> Easy WP LaTeX and set options.<\/li>\n
    4. If instructed, set the file permission of the cache directory.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n

      How come there is not a single frequently asked question?<\/dt>\n

      Two possible reasons.<\/p>\n\n

      1. Easy WP LaTeX<\/em> is so simple and straight-forward that no question could be thought of.<\/li>\n
      2. More likely, the plugin is too new for any questions.<\/li>\n<\/ol><\/dd>\n\n<\/dl>\n\n\n
