You can place this Analog Clock on any website for free without even using Flash. The skin is XML customizable, there are multiple configurable properties for shade and background, there are sound effects and other sound play properties, the time zone can be selectable and it includes 3 types of clock pins movements. Make sure your Wordpress version is greater than 2.8 and your hosting provider is using PHP5.<\/p>\n\n

  1. There are two files to download: WordPress Plugin<\/a> (that you have to install and activate) & Free archive<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. Create a new folder inside your wp-content<\/strong> folder called flashxml<\/strong>, inside this folder create a new one called analog-clock-fx<\/strong> and copy the content of the free archive<\/strong> there<\/li>\n
  3. If you copied the free archive<\/strong> to a location different than the one above, go to Analog Clock FX<\/strong> from the Settings<\/strong> tab in your WordPress Dashboard<\/strong> and update the path accordingly<\/li>\n
  4. Add [analog-clock-fx][\/analog-clock-fx]<\/code> where you want the Flash to show up in your post\/page<\/li>\n
  5. If you want to make the Analog Clock FX part of your theme, edit the template files and add <?php analogclockfx_echo_embed_code(); ?><\/code> where you want it to show up<\/li>\n
  6. Go to FlashXML.net<\/a> and customize your Analog Clock FX<\/a> using the Live Demo. Generate the settings.xml<\/code> text and use it to overwrite wp-content\/flashxml\/analog-clock-fx\/settings.xml<\/code><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n

    Additional settings file<\/h4>\n\n

    To embed the Analog Clock FX more than once, you will need another settings file. Let's assume your new file is called settings2.xml<\/code>. Add [analog-clock-fx settings=\"settings2.xml\"][\/analog-clock-fx]<\/code> where you want the Flash to show up in your post\/page.     No Flash support text<\/h4>\n\n

    To support visitors without Adobe Flash Player, you can provide alternative content by adding the text between [analog-clock-fx]<\/code> and [\/analog-clock-fx]<\/code>. If you made the Flash part of your theme, add the text as the second argument<\/strong> of the analogclockfx_echo_embed_code()<\/code> function call (for example <?php analogclockfx_echo_embed_code(\"\",\"Alternative content\"); ?><\/code>).<\/p>\n\n

    If you have PHP4<\/h4>\n\n

    To make it work with PHP4, add [analog-clock-fx width=\"600\" height=\"300\"][\/analog-clock-fx]<\/code> where you want the Flash to show up in your post\/page. If you made the Flash part of your theme, add the width and height as the third and fourth argument<\/strong> of the analogclockfx_echo_embed_code()<\/code> function call. Don't forget to provide your own width and height values, since 600 and 300 are just examples.<\/p>\n\n

    Getting rid of the FlashXML.net label<\/h4>\n\n

    To remove the FlashXML.net label from the top-left corner you'll need to buy the paid package<\/a>.
