Free delivery thresholds, sales, new collections, holiday opening hours, delivery cut-off dates, anything worth saying before the shopper starts browsing.<\/p>\n\n<p>https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=3ggfRPjROV4<\/p>\n\n<p>Create as many announcements as you like, schedule them ahead of time and let each one decide where it appears. A sale bar can count down to its last hour on the shop and category pages, a delivery notice can run in a ticker on every page, and a welcome message can greet logged-in customers only.<\/p>\n\n<h4>Bars and tickers<\/h4>\n\n<ul>\n<li>Show each announcement as its own bar, or group several into one horizontal ticker that scrolls continuously (marquee) or slides with arrow controls.<\/li>\n<li>Place bars at the top of the page (before the theme header), at the bottom, or both.<\/li>\n<li>Keep the top or bottom bars sticky while the shopper scrolls.<\/li>\n<li>Add a call-to-action button, or make the whole bar a link to a product, category, page or custom URL.<\/li>\n<li>Choose the colours for each bar and button. A contrast checker tells you when text would be hard to read.<\/li>\n<li>Let shoppers dismiss a bar, for a number of days or for good. Dismissed bars do not flash back on the next page load.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4>Scheduling<\/h4>\n\n<ul>\n<li>Set a start and an expiration date and time for each announcement, in your site's timezone.<\/li>\n<li>Show a live countdown to the expiration date. It is compatible with High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS) and the cart and checkout blocks.<\/p>\n\n<p>Requires WooCommerce 9.0 or later, WordPress 6.6 or later and PHP 8.1 or later.<\/p>\n\n<!--section=installation-->\n<ol>\n<li>Install and activate WooCommerce.<\/li>\n<li>Upload the <code>shopcrier-announcement-bar-for-woocommerce<\/code> folder to <code>\/wp-content\/plugins\/<\/code>, or install Shopcrier through the Plugins screen.<\/li>\n<li>Activate Shopcrier through the Plugins screen.<\/li>\n<li>Go to <strong>Announcements \u2192 Add New Announcement<\/strong>, write your message and publish it. Settings that apply to all announcements are under <strong>Announcements \u2192 Settings<\/strong>.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"can%20i%20show%20more%20than%20one%20bar%20at%20a%20time%3F\"><h3>Can I show more than one bar at a time?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Yes. Every enabled announcement that matches the current page appears, ordered by its sort order. You can limit how many appear per position under <strong>Announcements \u2192 Settings<\/strong>.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"how%20do%20i%20put%20several%20messages%20in%20one%20scrolling%20bar%3F\"><h3>How do I put several messages in one scrolling bar?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Set the <strong>Display Mode<\/strong> of those announcements to <strong>Horizontal<\/strong>. All horizontal announcements in the same position are grouped into one ticker. Choose between a continuous marquee and a slider under <strong>Announcements \u2192 Settings<\/strong>.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"how%20do%20i%20schedule%20a%20bar%20for%20a%20sale%3F\"><h3>How do I schedule a bar for a sale?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Set a <strong>Start Date<\/strong> and an <strong>Expiration Date<\/strong> in the Schedule box. The bar appears and disappears on its own. Tick <strong>Countdown<\/strong> to show the time left.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"does%20it%20work%20with%20page%20caching%3F\"><h3>Does it work with page caching?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Yes. Dismissals are stored in the shopper's browser and expired bars are hidden in the browser, so a cached page never shows a bar that has ended or one the shopper closed. Role targeting depends on who is logged in, so it needs a cache that does not serve the same page to logged-in and logged-out visitors (most caching plugins already work this way).<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"why%20is%20there%20no%20bar%20on%20the%20checkout%20page%3F\"><h3>Why is there no bar on the checkout page?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>On purpose. Announcements are never shown on the checkout and order-received pages, so nothing pulls shoppers away while they pay.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"can%20i%20place%20a%20bar%20somewhere%20else%20in%20my%20theme%3F\"><h3>Can I place a bar somewhere else in my theme?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Yes. Use the shortcode <code>[shopcrier_bar position=\"top\"]<\/code> in a page or block, or call <code>shopcrier_bar( 'top' )<\/code> in a theme template.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"does%20the%20plugin%20send%20data%20to%20external%20services%3F\"><h3>Does the plugin send data to external services?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>No. Announcements are stored in your WordPress database, and dismissals are stored in the shopper's browser (<code>localStorage<\/code>).
