The\npass carries the appointment type, the customer's name, and the date and time, with a\nbarcode staff can scan.<\/p>\n\n<h4>Design the pass<\/h4>\n\n<p>The <em>Pass design<\/em> tab is a visual editor with a live Apple Wallet and Google Wallet\npreview, front and back, filled in with your latest booking.<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n<li>Your business name, logo and colour.<\/li>\n<li>A header line, the pass title and up to three fields on the front.<\/li>\n<li>Sections on the back: text, links, phone numbers, email addresses and addresses.<\/li>\n<li>\"+ Data Field\" puts each booking's details on the pass: the customer's name, the\nappointment type, date, start and end time, duration, booking number, web meeting\nlink, your business contact details and more.<\/li>\n<li>A hero image, with a different image per appointment type if you like.<\/li>\n<li>The barcode format, and a Wallet reminder before the appointment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4>How it works<\/h4>\n\n<ul>\n<li>The buttons appear inside SSA's own booking form, on its confirmation screen.<\/li>\n<li>The pass is created on your server with your AddToWallet API key. The key never reaches\nyour visitors' browsers.<\/li>\n<li>The browser sends only the appointment id and SSA's own appointment token, and the\nappointment details are read from SSA's tables, so nobody can create a pass for\nsomeone else's appointment or put made-up details on one.<\/li>\n<li>Reloading the confirmation screen never creates a second pass.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4>Works with<\/h4>\n\n<ul>\n<li>The <code>[ssa_booking]<\/code> shortcode<\/li>\n<li>The SSA Gutenberg block<\/li>\n<li>Any page builder that embeds SSA's booking form<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4>Cancellations<\/h4>\n\n<p>When an appointment is canceled, by you or through the customer's own cancel link, the\npass in their wallet is marked expired straight away. When it is rescheduled, the pass is\nupdated to the new date and time.<\/p>\n\n<h4>Requirements<\/h4>\n\n<ul>\n<li>Simply Schedule Appointments (free or paid editions)<\/li>\n<li>An AddToWallet account and API key<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h3>External services<\/h3>\n\n<p>This plugin connects to the AddToWallet API at https:\/\/app.addtowallet.co to create and\nexpire Apple Wallet and Google Wallet passes. Without this service it cannot issue passes.<\/p>\n\n<p>When a customer's appointment qualifies for a pass, the plugin sends the details you put on\nthe pass from your server to AddToWallet. With the default design that is the appointment\ntype, the appointment date and time, the customer's name, the appointment id, your business\nname, email and phone (from Simply Schedule Appointments' settings), and the logo, image\nand colors you configured. The customer's own email address or phone number is only sent\nif you add it to the pass design. It also sends your API key to authenticate the request. When an appointment is\ncancelled, it sends the pass id so the pass can be expired; when it is rescheduled, it sends\nthe pass id with the updated pass details. Your API key is never sent to\nthe customer's browser.<\/p>\n\n<p>The service is provided by AddToWallet: <a href=\"https:\/\/addtowallet.co\/terms\/\">Terms of Service<\/a>,\n<a href=\"https:\/\/addtowallet.co\/privacy-policy\/\">Privacy Policy<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n<!--section=faq-->\n<dl>\n<dt id=\"which%20appointments%20get%20a%20pass%3F\"><h3>Which appointments get a pass?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Booked appointments, unless you choose otherwise. You can also issue passes for\nappointments waiting on payment, though that payment may still fail.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"no%20buttons%20appear.%20what%20should%20i%20check%3F\"><h3>No buttons appear. It now uses your business contact details from Simply Schedule Appointments' settings.<\/li>\n<li>Existing settings (API key, logo, colour, hero image, barcode, statuses) carry over.
