Smart Units for WooCommerce lets you sell products by weight, volume or length, and decide the interval between the quantities a customer can choose.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Examples<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul>\n<li>Fruit sold in kilograms, in steps of 0.5 kg.<\/li>\n<li>Saffron sold in grams, in steps of 1 g.<\/li>\n<li>Milk sold in milliliters, in steps of 250 mL.<\/li>\n<li>Fabric sold in meters, in steps of 0.5 m, with 10 meters in stock.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><strong>What is included<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul>\n<li>Built-in units: piece, gram, kilogram, liter, milliliter, meter and centimeter.<\/li>\n<li>A custom step, minimum quantity and maximum quantity for every product.<\/li>\n<li>Stock managed in the same unit. When the total purchased reaches the stock, or the remaining stock is below the minimum order quantity, the product becomes out of stock.<\/li>\n<li>Server-side validation when adding to the cart and when updating the cart.<\/li>\n<li>The unit is shown next to the quantity field, next to the price, in the cart, at checkout, in orders and in emails.<\/li>\n<li>The unit used is saved with each order, so old orders do not change if you change a product later.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<!--section=installation-->\n<ol>\n<li>Install and activate WooCommerce.<\/li>\n<li>Upload the plugin folder to <code>\/wp-content\/plugins\/<\/code>, or install it from the Plugins screen, and activate it.<\/li>\n<li>Edit a product, open the General tab and tick \"Sell by unit\".<\/li>\n<li>Choose the unit, step, minimum and maximum quantity. Enter the price of ONE unit.<\/li>\n<li>In the Inventory tab, enable stock management and enter the stock in the same unit.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<!--section=faq-->\n<dl>\n<dt id=\"does%20it%20work%20with%20the%20woocommerce%20cart%20and%20checkout%20blocks%3F\"><h3>Does it work with the WooCommerce Cart and Checkout blocks?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>No. The blocks only accept whole-number quantities. Use the classic cart and checkout pages (the <code>[woocommerce_cart]<\/code> and <code>[woocommerce_checkout]<\/code> shortcodes).<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"does%20it%20work%20with%20variable%20products%3F\"><h3>Does it work with variable products?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>The unit settings are set on the parent product and apply to all variations.
