Privacy<\/h3>\n\n
Configuration is stored in your WordPress database. The Free catalog reads\nselected post types and terms used by published content on your own site. Its\neditor and filtering requests use your site's WordPress endpoints. Free does\nnot require an external filtering, licensing or analytics service and does not\nadd its own telemetry.<\/p>\n\n
Selected taxonomy filters can appear in the page URL. They may therefore\nbe present in browser history, shared links and your site's ordinary server or\nanalytics logs. Your site's other plugins, theme and hosting can have their own\nprivacy behavior.<\/p>\n\n

Do not delete it as a migration step without a backup.<\/p><\/dd>\n
Does Free require Pro or an account?<\/h3><\/dt>\nNo. Free is an independent plugin and needs no license key or service account.\nPro is an optional replacement with additional features.<\/p><\/dd>\n
Can I add filters to an existing Query Loop?<\/h3><\/dt>\nYes. Select the Query Loop and choose Edit Filter Query. Its query settings and\nresult blocks form the starting point for your draft. Apply the changes when\nready, then save the page.<\/p><\/dd>\n
Which data sources are included?<\/h3><\/dt>\nFree offers category, tag and custom-taxonomy choices for one post type per\nQuery, with Apply, Reset and ordinary pagination. Search, date filters, visitor\nsorting, Load more, Fetch fresh results, custom metadata, ACF fields, number\nranges and advanced query rules belong to Pro.<\/p><\/dd>\n
Why is a taxonomy or term missing?<\/h3><\/dt>\nCheck that its post type is selected in Catalog Data and that the taxonomy is\nregistered for that post type. Custom post types and taxonomies can be selected\neven when their registrations are not public. The catalog offers terms used by\npublished content for the selected post type.\nAlso review Global exclusions. By default, post_format, the category slugs\nuncategorized and uncategorised, and the metadata keys footnotes and\nwp_dummy_content_generator_post are excluded. Metadata defaults are shared with\nPro; Free does not offer metadata filter sources.<\/p>\n\n
Uncheck an exclusion and save to include it. Exclusions do not delete content or\nerase fixed query rules, and changing them does not require a catalog rebuild.<\/p><\/dd>\n
How do I change the layout or styling?<\/h3><\/dt>\nChoose a starter design during setup or use Change design for an existing\nQuery. The layouts use normal Groups and Columns that you can arrange on the\ncanvas. Choose Filter theme in Design, then use WordPress block Styles panels\nfor the individual blocks. Your theme also influences their appearance.<\/p><\/dd>\n
Can I use more than one filtered Query on a page?<\/h3><\/dt>\nYes. Each Query has its own filter state. Save the page after inserting or\ncopying a Query so WordPress can retain its query identity.<\/p><\/dd>\n
What happens when I switch between Free and Pro?<\/h3><\/dt>\nTo upgrade, install Pro 4.0.2 or later and activate it; Pro automatically\ndeactivates Free. With Pro 4.0.1 or earlier, deactivate Free manually first.\nTo return to Free, deactivate Pro in Plugins, then activate Free. Are visitor filters access controls?<\/h3><\/dt>\nNo. They help visitors narrow a list of content. Use WordPress permissions and\nappropriate access-control tools to protect restricted content.<\/p><\/dd>\n
Where is the source code?<\/h3><\/dt>\nReadable JavaScript, styles and block metadata are included in src\/ in the Free\nZIP, alongside the PHP implementation. SOURCE-BUILD.txt contains the Node.js\nrequirements and the local asset rebuild command.
