No copy and paste.<\/li>\n<li>You can also enter the container ID (GTM-\u2026) by hand under Settings \u2192 Trackum.<\/li>\n<li>No tracking happens through the plugin itself. What is measured is configured in your own Google Tag Manager container, which belongs to you.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h3>External services<\/h3>\n\n<p>This plugin connects to the Trackum service (dienst.trackum.app) to look up the Google Tag Manager container that belongs to your website.<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n<li>When: only after an administrator asked for it, by clicking \"Connect now\" under Settings \u2192 Trackum or \"Connect WordPress\" in Trackum. If no container is found yet, it retries hourly for at most 7 days. Activating the plugin alone sends nothing. Once connected, no further requests are made.<\/li>\n<li>What is sent: the address of your website (home URL) and a random one-time code. The Trackum service then asks your website's REST API (\/wp-json\/trackum\/v1\/pruefung) whether exactly this code is active, to verify that the request really came from your website. Without an order you can still enter any Google Tag Manager container ID by hand.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"what%20about%20consent%3F\"><h3>What about consent?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Use Google Tag Manager with Consent Mode and your cookie banner. Trackum configures this for you as part of the order.<\/p><\/dd>\n\n<\/dl>\n\n<!--section=changelog-->\n<h4>1.6.0<\/h4>\n\n<ul>\n<li>Connecting without a Trackum order no longer retries forever: the plugin stops asking after 7 days. \"Connect now\" starts again.<\/li>\n<li>Settings page: link to the free Trackum check for your website.<\/li>\n<li>Uninstalling also removes the strict privacy mode setting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4>1.5.1<\/h4>\n\n<ul>\n<li>Security: the verification endpoint no longer lists active one-time codes.
