Requires WooCommerce 8.5+.

External services

This plugin connects to the Akilio backend at https://app.akilio-ai.com, and supplies public workspace configuration to Widget for Akilio AI. It sends catalog data and order ID, status, currency, total and optional assistant-cart reference, item IDs, titles, quantities and calculated prices after explicit merchant consent. Customer names, addresses, email and payment details are not sent by this plugin. The widget uses https://api.akilio-ai.com and communicates visitor messages to Akilio according to the workspace configuration. Service information: https://akilio-ai.com. Review your Akilio account’s current terms and privacy notice before enabling the integration.

Akilio backend API

This plugin connects to https://app.akilio-ai.com to verify the store connection, synchronize the WooCommerce catalog, report cart and order updates, and request disconnection. Requests authenticate with the store credential generated in Akilio and saved in WordPress. Connection checks send the store home URL, plugin version and store currency, and receive connection status, the public workspace key, and assistant availability settings. The credential is sent to the backend for authentication; it is not exposed to the public widget.

Catalog transfers send product and variation identifiers, names, descriptions, slugs, product URLs, image URLs, category information, product types, SKUs, variation attributes, prices, currency, inventory quantities, availability and visibility information. Incremental transfers also identify deleted products. Synchronization identifiers and batch counts are sent to track delivery. Product descriptions and other merchant-entered catalog content are included as configured in WooCommerce; avoid placing confidential or personal information in those fields.

For native WooCommerce carts associated with an Akilio assistant cart, the plugin sends the assistant-cart reference, currency, calculated total, and item identifiers, names, quantities and calculated unit prices. Order reporting sends the WooCommerce order ID, status, currency, total, order-line identifiers, product and variation identifiers, item names, quantities, calculated unit prices, and an assistant-cart reference when available. Order reporting can occur for supported WooCommerce orders without an assistant-cart reference. Cart and order events include an observation timestamp so Akilio can reconcile updates.

These server-to-server requests expose the store server's IP address and normal HTTP request metadata to Akilio. This plugin does not include customer names, billing or shipping addresses, email addresses, payment card details, passwords, or the WordPress database in its catalog, cart or order payloads. Merchant-entered product text and item names can nevertheless contain personal data.

Checkout and the separate widget plugin

Akilio checkout links send a signed, expiring cart reference, product and variation identifiers, requested quantities and cart revision to the store. The plugin validates the link and uses the visitor's native WooCommerce cart and session to prepare checkout. WooCommerce and the store's payment gateway handle payment; this connector does not send payment card details to Akilio. The plugin stores cart attribution and handoff information in WooCommerce sessions and order metadata to associate later cart changes and order outcomes with the assistant cart.

This plugin does not itself load the hosted chat widget or send visitor messages, audio, feedback or contact requests. When the separate Widget for Akilio AI plugin is installed, this connector supplies the public workspace key, the WooCommerce channel and connection readiness. The widget uses https://api.akilio-ai.com and its hosted resources according to that plugin's own external-services disclosure and workspace configuration. Review that disclosure before enabling the widget.

When requests occur

Backend API requests require a saved store credential and the merchant's data-sharing authorization. Saving and connecting triggers verification. Further status checks are normally scheduled every five minutes; an overdue check can also run during a store visit or when the integration settings page opens. Configuration checks can therefore occur before a visitor sends a message or starts checkout.

Catalog transfers occur during initial setup, manual synchronization from WordPress or Akilio, scheduled reconciliation, and queued product, variation, category, stock, visibility or deletion changes. Native cart changes for a linked assistant cart and supported order creation, status or item updates trigger immediate delivery attempts. Failed transfers are retained in WordPress for scheduled retries; authorized administrators can also request manual processing or retries. Scheduled work depends on WordPress cron or WooCommerce scheduling being available. Disconnecting from the plugin requests credential revocation and removes local connection data; if the request fails, revoke the connection in Akilio as well.

Merchant authorization is not itself a visitor-consent mechanism. Explain catalog, cart, order and optional widget processing in your site's privacy notice and review your site's consent requirements before enabling these features. Disconnection does not by itself request deletion of information already received by Akilio.

Akilio service policies (also applicable to its backend, widget-hosting and API services):

Terms of Service: https://akilio-ai.com/en/terms

Privacy Policy: https://akilio-ai.com/en/privacy

Upload the plugin ZIP, activate it, connect your HTTPS store in Akilio, paste the store credential in WooCommerce → Akilio, authorize synchronization, and activate the assistant in Akilio. To display the assistant, also install and activate Widget for Akilio AI 1.1.0+ and enable it under Settings → Akilio AI Assistant. Workspace configuration is automatic. Catalog synchronization and checkout work without the widget plugin. Ensure WordPress cron is running.

1.4.1

Load admin queue scripts through WordPress enqueue APIs and clarify publisher metadata.
Provide a WordPress.org-specific package using WordPress language packs.

1.4.0

Reconcile linked checkout quantities and removals, reject stale handoffs, show pending cart/order delivery errors with manual retries, and ship validated production packages.

1.3.1

Automatically renew connection verification on site visits and settings loads when cron is delayed.
