The free plan lets you try the writing tools and publish to WordPress; autoblogging, Site Agent and IndexNow are on paid plans (see pricing).

External Services

This plugin connects your WordPress site to the RightBlogger platform (rightblogger.com), which is required for its core purpose: publishing content you create in RightBlogger to your WordPress site.

What it does and what data is involved:

Connection: when you connect your site, the plugin registers your site URL with your RightBlogger account and stores a secret connection key on your site. RightBlogger's servers use this key to authenticate requests to your site's REST API (creating and updating posts, uploading images, reading site info needed for publishing).

Post status updates: when a post RightBlogger published changes status (published, scheduled, trashed), the plugin sends RightBlogger the post ID, URL, title and new status so your RightBlogger dashboard stays in sync.

Account details: while connected, the plugin checks the connection and loads your account's branding and Tool Studio tool list from rightblogger.com.

Tool Studio embeds (optional): these render only when you insert one of your own tools with the block editor; nothing loads on sites that have not done so. When a page with the block is viewed, the tool loads from rightblogger.com so visitors can use it. The visitor's browser requests the embed from rightblogger.com, which receives standard request data (IP address, user agent) as with any embedded third-party content.

IndexNow: the post status update includes your site's IndexNow key, and on paid plans RightBlogger uses it to notify IndexNow search engines of the post's URL. The plugin serves the key file at
/{key}.txt
so those search engines can verify it.

No data is sent to RightBlogger until you explicitly connect your site. Disconnecting or uninstalling removes the stored keys.

This service is provided by RightBlogger: Terms of Service, Privacy Policy.

In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New and search for "RightBlogger"

Click Install Now, then Activate

Go to Settings → RightBlogger and click "Connect to RightBlogger"

Do I need a RightBlogger account?

Yes. The plugin publishes what you create in RightBlogger, so it needs an account. Administrators and editors on a single site are, and an administrator is the default author. HTML you place inside an "Embed HTML" block in the RightBlogger editor (Elfsight, Calendly, forms, review widgets, etc.) is then kept as written; everything else is sanitized normally with
wp_kses_post
.

This is the same rule the WordPress editor applies. On multisite networks, on sites that set
DISALLOW_UNFILTERED_HTML
, or for posts credited to an Author or Contributor, scripts are removed. To keep them, choose an administrator as the Post Author in RightBlogger's WordPress settings.

How does IndexNow work?

On paid plans it runs automatically once your site is connected. When RightBlogger publishes a post, RightBlogger notifies search engines that support IndexNow (Bing, Yandex, Naver, Seznam, Yep) so they find it sooner. The plugin serves the verification key file those search engines check. No setup required.

How do I embed a RightBlogger tool on a page?

Edit any post or page with the block editor, add the "RightBlogger Tool" block (search for "RightBlogger" or "tool"), and choose one of your Tool Studio tools from the dropdown. The tool list is pulled from your connected RightBlogger account, so make sure the site is connected first under Settings → RightBlogger. The tool renders as a responsive, auto-resizing embed on the published page.

Which SEO plugins are supported?

The plugin auto-detects Yoast SEO, Rank Math, All in One SEO (AIOSEO), SEOPress, The SEO Framework, and Squirrly SEO. When connected, RightBlogger writes the meta title, description, and focus keyphrase to whichever plugin you have active. The SEO Framework does not have a focus keyphrase field, so only title and description are written there. Squirrly stores SEO data in its own table rather than post meta, so RightBlogger writes through Squirrly's snippet model and preserves any Open Graph / Twitter values you've already set. Open Graph and Twitter card output is otherwise left to your SEO plugin's defaults.

1.6.2

Changed: Plugin updates now come from WordPress.org.

Fixed: On ClassicPress and other sites without block support, posts published or edited by RightBlogger no longer carry block editor markers, which showed up as empty paragraphs on the live page and as extra comment lines in the Text tab.

1.6.1

Changed: Custom HTML embeds (scripts, iframes, widgets) are now kept only when the post's author is allowed to post unfiltered HTML in WordPress, the same rule the WordPress editor applies. Administrators and editors on single sites, the default author, are unaffected. On multisite, on sites with DISALLOW_UNFILTERED_HTML, or for posts credited to an Author or Contributor, scripts are removed. Embeds already on a post are left alone when RightBlogger edits it.

Improved: The tool embed block now loads its script through WordPress's script loader instead of printing it inline.

Improved: Every message with a placeholder now carries a note for translators.

1.6.0

Security: Connecting a site now requires a confirmation token created by your own WordPress admin, so a link someone else sends you can no longer connect your site to a different RightBlogger account. Updating is recommended.

Improved: Hardened output escaping and input handling on the settings screens.

1.5.9

Fixed: A published post could take over the URL of a post you already had. RightBlogger sends the URL slug it generated for the article, and WordPress only checks that slug against your existing posts when a post is saved as published. Posts arrive as drafts by default, so that check was skipped and a slug already in use was written as-is. The plugin now checks the slug itself before creating or updating a post and adds a numeric suffix when it is taken, the same way WordPress does.

1.5.8

Fixed: The real cause of duplicated images. Image-optimization plugins that lazy-load (Optimole and similar) rewrite every REST API response, so when RightBlogger read a post back it received the lazy-loaded version of the markup rather than what WordPress actually had stored. Editing that and saving it added one more copy of every image to the post, each time. RightBlogger now asks those plugins to leave its own API responses alone. Note this stops any further duplication but does not remove copies already added.

1.5.7

Fixed: Saving a post no longer strips backslashes from block markup. Blocks that store escaped JSON in their attributes (Rank Math's FAQ block is the common one) kept their escapes eaten on every save, so the editor reported "Block contains unexpected or invalid content" and the block had to be converted back to a plain block to be readable.

Fixed: Saving no longer corrupts the placeholder that lazy-loading image plugins (Optimole, WP Rocket, Smush and similar) store in an image tag. This was one contributor to duplicated images, but not the main one. See 1.5.8 for the actual cause.

Fixed: Editing a post no longer rewrites the rest of it. When RightBlogger updates one passage, only that passage is now re-checked. The rest of the post is left exactly as WordPress already stored it. Previously the whole body was re-processed on every edit, which silently deleted things WordPress itself allows but its cleanup routine does not: embedded YouTube and Vimeo videos, Google Maps, inline SVG icons, the source tags inside video and audio players, and responsive image data (srcset, sizes). None of that had anything to do with the change being made.

1.5.6

New: Custom post type support. RightBlogger can publish into a registered custom post type (for example a "blogs" CPT) instead of only the standard Posts type. Any unknown or WordPress-internal type falls back to Posts.

1.5.4

New: Page-builder detection. Post lookups and updates now report when a post's layout is owned by Beaver Builder, Elementor, Divi, Bricks, or Oxygen, so the RightBlogger Site Agent can skip content edits that would never appear on the live page instead of reporting a false success.

1.5.3

New: Squirrly SEO support. Writes the SEO title, meta description, and focus keyphrase (Squirrly's "keywords" field) when publishing. Squirrly stores SEO in its own database table rather than post meta, so values are saved through Squirrly's snippet model and existing Open Graph / Twitter / canonical data on the snippet is preserved.

1.5.2

Improved: White-label branding is now binary. The plugin shows either your organization's name or "RightBlogger", never a generic "Content Connector" placeholder. Agency branding applies only once you set an organization name in your RightBlogger organization settings.

1.5.1

New: "RightBlogger Tool" Gutenberg block. Embed an interactive Tool Studio tool by picking it from a dropdown of your account's tools. Dynamic block (Block API v3) renders the official auto-resizing embed on the front end; the connection key stays server-side (the editor loads the tool list through an authenticated proxy endpoint).

New: The block automatically hides from the inserter when the connected account has no tools or its plan can't embed tools.

New: Settings → RightBlogger has a toggle to enable/disable the editor block entirely (useful for white-label/client sites). Disabling only hides it from the editor; tools already embedded in existing content keep rendering.

New: The editor block respects white-label branding. Its title and copy use the connected account's brand instead of "RightBlogger" on agency/client sites.

1.4.2

New: The SEO Framework support. Writes SEO title and meta description.

1.4.1

Fix: AIOSEO SEO title, description, and focus keyphrase now save correctly on AIOSEO 4.x sites (previously written to post meta, which AIOSEO ignores; now written through AIOSEO's Post model). Yoast, Rank Math, and SEOPress were unaffected.

1.4.0

New: Post author selection - RightBlogger can pick which WP user to attribute posts to via a dropdown in the integration settings

New: Authors endpoint - returns the list of users with edit_posts capability so the RightBlogger UI can populate the author picker

Improved: Publish handler accepts an optional
author
user ID and validates it has edit_posts; falls back to the default administrator if the user is missing or no longer has access

1.3.0

New: Post lookup endpoint. RightBlogger can now fetch the current raw content of a post by URL, slug, or ID (required for the Site Agent)

New: Post update endpoint. RightBlogger can now surgically update existing posts (content, title, excerpt, SEO meta) from the Site Agent's approved suggestions

New: Search endpoint. RightBlogger can search posts with keyword + filters (category, tag, date range, modified range) so the Site Agent can work with live WordPress data

New: SEO meta read support. The plugin can now report current Yoast / Rank Math / AIOSEO / SEOPress values back to RightBlogger, not just write them

Security: Post update endpoint reuses the same kses-lifted scope as publish so wp:html embeds survive surgical edits without degrading sanitization elsewhere

1.2.1

New: Custom HTML embed support. Script tags, iframes, and third-party widgets (Elfsight, Calendly, etc.) now survive the publish round-trip and render on the live post

New: Publish response includes saved post content so RightBlogger can verify embeds were preserved

Improved: Post-content kses filters are temporarily lifted around the insert (scoped via try/finally) so trusted RightBlogger embeds aren't stripped

Improved: Image sideload update is now wrapped in the same protection so embeds aren't lost when external image URLs are rewritten

1.2.0

New: IndexNow integration. Instantly notify search engines when posts are published

1.1.0

New: Inline images are now sideloaded into the WordPress Media Library instead of staying as external URLs

New: Post status webhook. Notifies RightBlogger when a managed post is published, trashed, or status-changed

New: Featured image deduplication. Avoids re-downloading images that were already sideloaded inline

Improved: Featured image handling with alt text from EXIF metadata, file size limits, and download timeouts

Improved: Better error handling and cleanup for image sideloading

1.0.2

SEO: writes core meta title, description, and focus keyphrase only; Open Graph / X (Twitter) output is handled by your SEO plugin’s defaults (Yoast, Rank Math, AIOSEO, SEOPress).

Fix: save focus keyphrase when meta title and description are empty.

1.0.1

Added setup notice to help new users connect their site

Added SEO plugin detection (supports Yoast, Rank Math, AIOSEO, SEOPress)

Improved settings page design

1.0.0

Initial release

Publish AI-written posts to WordPress, then let Site Agent keep them ranking with internal links, meta fixes and freshness updates.
["GET
