It sends no data\nto any external service. Designs that never reach an order are deleted\nautomatically after two days; designs attached to orders are kept with the\norder. Design files are blocked from direct web\naccess; only the preview images are publicly readable, because the cart and\nyour emails need to display them. Filenames are random, so nothing can be\nguessed or enumerated.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"what%20happens%20to%20artwork%20if%20i%20uninstall%20the%20plugin%3F\"><h3>What happens to artwork if I uninstall the plugin?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Product settings are removed. Artwork attached to orders is deliberately kept,\nbecause deleting something a customer paid for would be data loss. Remove the\n    uploads\/dcpd folder yourself if you are certain you no longer need it.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"designs%20that%20were%20never%20ordered%20pile%20up.%20are%20they%20cleaned%3F\"><h3>Designs that were never ordered pile up. Are they cleaned?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Yes. A daily task removes designs and uploads that were never completed, two\ndays after they were last touched. Anything attached to an order is never\ntouched.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"can%20i%20change%20how%20large%20an%20image%20customers%20may%20upload%3F\"><h3>Can I change how large an image customers may upload?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Yes, with the <code>dcpd_max_upload_bytes<\/code> filter. The plugin never accepts more\nthan your server's own upload limit.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"why%20is%20the%20print%20area%20locked%20to%20one%20shape%3F\"><h3>Why is the print area locked to one shape?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Because the exported file has to match the size the product declares. A square\nprint area on a 12 x 16 inch product would export a square file, and the print\nwould come out wrong. The box keeps the shape of the print size you set, so\nyou position and resize it without ever producing a mismatched file.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"what%20file%20do%20i%20send%20to%20the%20printer%3F\"><h3>What file do I send to the printer?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Use <strong>Download print file (PNG)<\/strong> on the order screen. It is the artwork only,\nat the full print resolution, with a transparent background. The JSON download\nbeside it is the editable design data, not something a printer can use.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"what%20happens%20to%20a%20design%20left%20in%20a%20cart%3F\"><h3>What happens to a design left in a cart?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>It is kept for as long as the cart is alive, and swept two days after it was\nlast touched if the customer never checks out. Anything attached to an order\nis never swept.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"how%20does%20the%20product%20colour%20picker%20work%3F\"><h3>How does the product colour picker work?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Tick <strong>Product colours<\/strong> on the DesignCrate tab and list the colours you\noffer, one per line as <code>Name | #hex<\/code>. Tick <strong>Custom colour<\/strong> to also offer a\ncolour picker. The designer recolours the product in your mockup, and the\nchosen colour is shown in the cart and saved on the order, so you know which\nblank to print on. It works best with a white product on a transparent\nbackground; on an opaque mockup the backdrop is detected from the image\nedges and left untouched. The print file is never coloured.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"can%20the%20designer%20be%20bigger%3F\"><h3>Can the designer be bigger?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Yes. Set <strong>Designer position<\/strong> on the DesignCrate tab to <em>Full width, below\nthe product<\/em> to give the canvas the full page width. Customers can also hide\nthe tools panel and zoom in.
