It's an add-on for the <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/two-factor\/\">Two Factor<\/a> plugin, which provides the two-factor methods.<\/p>\n\n<p>When a user in a selected role hasn't set up any two-factor method:<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n<li>After logging in, they're sent to their profile instead of the page they asked for.<\/li>\n<li>Any other dashboard page sends them back to their profile, where a notice and a dialog explain what to do.<\/li>\n<li>Once they set up at least one method, the dashboard works as usual.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Users in other roles aren't affected, and nothing is enforced until you select at least one role.<\/p>\n\n<p>Enforcement applies to the dashboard only. It doesn't restrict the front end of the site.<\/p>\n\n<p>The plugin makes no external requests and collects no data.<\/p>\n\n<!--section=installation-->\n<ol>\n<li>Install and activate the <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/two-factor\/\">Two Factor<\/a> plugin.<\/li>\n<li>Install and activate Role Enforcement for Two Factor.<\/li>\n<li>Go to Settings &gt; Role Enforcement for Two Factor, select the roles that must use two-factor authentication, and save.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<!--section=faq-->\n<dl>\n<dt id=\"which%20roles%20are%20enforced%20after%20activation%3F\"><h3>Which roles are enforced after activation?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>None. Nothing changes until you select roles in the settings.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"can%20i%20lock%20myself%20out%3F\"><h3>Can I lock myself out?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>No. Users in a selected role can always reach their profile to set up two-factor authentication, administrators included.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"what%20happens%20if%20the%20two%20factor%20plugin%20isn%27t%20active%3F\"><h3>What happens if the Two Factor plugin isn't active?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Enforcement is paused, and the settings page shows a warning.
