\u2013 while keeping WooCommerce's own products, customers, cart, checkout, payments and orders. The compiled files in <code>build\/<\/code> are generated from the human-readable source in <code>src\/<\/code> (included in the plugin) using <code>@wordpress\/scripts<\/code>:<\/p>\n\n<pre><code>npm install &amp;&amp; npm run build\n<\/code><\/pre>\n\n<h3>Privacy<\/h3>\n\n<p>The plugin stores the customer's chosen branch in the WooCommerce session, in a cookie named <code>branchlex_branch<\/code> and, for logged-in customers, in their account. If a customer uses \"Find the nearest branch\", the browser asks for permission and approximate coordinates are kept in the session and stored with the order. Staff actions are recorded in an activity log with the user and, optionally, the IP address. Nothing is sent to third parties. Suggested privacy policy text is added under Settings \u2192 Privacy, and the data is included in WordPress' personal data export and erasure tools.<\/p>\n\n<!--section=installation-->\n<ol>\n<li>Make sure WooCommerce is installed and active.<\/li>\n<li>In WordPress go to <strong>Plugins \u2192 Add New \u2192 Upload Plugin<\/strong>, upload the zip and activate it (or install it from the plugin directory).<\/li>\n<li>Go to <strong>WooCommerce \u2192 Multi Branch \u2192 Branches<\/strong> and add your branches.<\/li>\n<li>In <strong>Settings \u2192 General<\/strong> choose a default branch. Existing WooCommerce stock is imported into it when you enable branch stock on a product.<\/li>\n<li>Edit a product, open the <strong>Inventory<\/strong> tab and tick <strong>Manage stock per branch<\/strong>. Then add stock in <strong>Multi Branch \u2192 Inventory<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>In <strong>WooCommerce \u2192 Settings \u2192 Shipping<\/strong>, add <strong>Branch Pickup<\/strong> and\/or <strong>Branch Delivery<\/strong> to your shipping zones.<\/li>\n<li>Show the branch selector with the <code>[branchlex_branch_selector]<\/code> shortcode, the <strong>Branch Selector<\/strong> block or widget, or turn on automatic placement in the plugin settings.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<!--section=faq-->\n<dl>\n<dt id=\"does%20it%20create%20a%20copy%20of%20each%20product%20for%20every%20branch%3F\"><h3>Does it create a copy of each product for every branch?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>No. Each product and variation has one stock record per branch.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"what%20happens%20to%20woocommerce%27s%20own%20stock%20quantity%3F\"><h3>What happens to WooCommerce's own stock quantity?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>For products with branch stock enabled, it is kept equal to the total available stock across all active branches, so WooCommerce's catalog, stock status and reports stay correct. The field is locked in the product editor.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"how%20do%20i%20add%20branch%20staff%3F\"><h3>How do I add branch staff?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Create the user account in Users \u2192 Add New and give it the Branch Manager or Branch Staff role. Then assign the user to one or more branches in Multi Branch \u2192 Staff. BranchLex never creates users or changes WordPress roles itself.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"can%20branch%20staff%20see%20other%20branches%3F\"><h3>Can branch staff see other branches?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>No. Branch managers and staff only see the branches they are assigned to. Store administrators and shop managers see everything.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"what%20if%20two%20customers%20buy%20the%20last%20unit%20at%20the%20same%20time%3F\"><h3>What if two customers buy the last unit at the same time?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Both paid orders are recorded.
