The loop is pure CSS: no jumps, no rewinds, and nothing runs while it is out of view.<\/p>\n\n<h4>Announcement bar<\/h4>\n\n<p>Configured on <strong>Settings \u2192 Marquezy<\/strong>, with a live preview.<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Phrases<\/strong> \u2014 a numbered list; each phrase has its own field with bold, italic and links (with a search of your pages). Enter adds the next phrase.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Where to show<\/strong> \u2014 entire site, only on selected pages, everywhere except selected pages, or only where you place it yourself. Conditions: specific pages and posts, post types, categories\/tags\/terms and special pages (front page, blog, archives, search, 404).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sticky modes<\/strong> \u2014 scrolls with the content, always visible, or \"smart\" (follows a header that hides on scroll).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Placement<\/strong> \u2014 right after the header: in block themes on the server (no layout shift), in classic themes after the detected header or a CSS selector of your choice.<\/li>\n<li>Close button (remembered per content \u2014 a new announcement shows again), optional pause button, hide on mobile with a custom breakpoint and a separate mobile font size.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4>Marquee block<\/h4>\n\n<ul>\n<li>Own rows (1\u20133) or the announcement bar.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Straight, tilted or crossed<\/strong> \u2014 tilt up to 10\u00b0; two crossed rows with an adjustable crossing point.<\/li>\n<li>Direction per row \u2014 by default left \/ right \/ left.<\/li>\n<li>Every phrase is a regular paragraph; colors, font size and padding use the editor's own controls; optional drop shadow per row.<\/li>\n<li>Animated preview right in the editor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4>Shortcode builder<\/h4>\n\n<p>For page builders (Elementor, Divi, WPBakery\u2026) and the Classic editor. Build a marquee with the same options as the block and a live preview, save it and paste <code>[marquezy id=\"3\"]<\/code> anywhere. <code>[marquezy]<\/code> without an id shows the announcement bar.<\/p>\n\n<h4>Light and accessible<\/h4>\n\n<ul>\n<li>Plain CSS animation driven by a tiny script; no jQuery, no external libraries.<\/li>\n<li>Pauses on hover, on keyboard focus and when scrolled out of view; respects \"reduce motion\".<\/li>\n<li>Optional pause button (WCAG 2.2.2); duplicated copies are hidden from screen readers and the keyboard.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4>Multilingual<\/h4>\n\n<p>Phrases per language for WPML, Polylang and TranslatePress, with a fallback to the first language that has phrases.<\/p>\n\n<!--section=installation-->\n<ol>\n<li>In your dashboard, go to Plugins \u2192 Add New, search for \"Marquezy\" and click Install, then Activate.<\/li>\n<li>Go to <strong>Settings \u2192 Marquezy<\/strong>: add phrases, choose where the bar appears and adjust its look.<\/li>\n<li>For more marquees add the <strong>Marquee<\/strong> block, or build one on the <strong>Shortcodes<\/strong> tab.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<!--section=faq-->\n<dl>\n<dt id=\"does%20it%20work%20with%20page%20builders%3F\"><h3>Does it work with page builders?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Yes. Build a marquee on Settings \u2192 Marquezy \u2192 Shortcodes and paste its shortcode into any text or shortcode widget. Rows added to the page later (builder previews, popups, AJAX content) start automatically.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"can%20i%20show%20the%20announcement%20bar%20only%20on%20some%20pages%3F\"><h3>Can I show the announcement bar only on some pages?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Yes \u2014 choose \"Only on selected pages\" or \"Everywhere except selected pages\" and pick pages, post types, terms or special pages.
