The video is then embedded from youtube.com and its preview thumbnail is loaded from img.youtube.com, which sends the video ID and the visitor's IP address to YouTube. A map for that location is embedded from maps.google.com, which sends the location text and the visitor's IP address to Google. Anyone who can log in to the site is a member.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"does%20it%20work%20on%20multisite%3F\"><h3>Does it work on multisite?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Yes. Activate it on each site that needs a community. Network activation is intentionally not supported, because each site keeps its own community content.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"can%20i%20switch%20features%20off%3F\"><h3>Can I switch features off?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Yes. Stories, Groups, Courses, Messages and Notifications are each a separate module you can disable from the settings screen.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"does%20it%20work%20with%20my%20theme%3F\"><h3>Does it work with my theme?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>The community runs on its own set of URLs with its own layout, so it does not depend on your theme's templates. Your theme still handles the rest of the site.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"why%20is%20there%20a%20public%20login%20endpoint%3F\"><h3>Why is there a public login endpoint?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>The community exposes three token endpoints under <code>compro\/v1\/auth<\/code> (<code>login<\/code>, <code>refresh<\/code>, <code>logout<\/code>) so a companion mobile client can sign in against the same site. They are the only write routes reachable without a session, exactly like <code>wp-login.php<\/code>, and they must be public for the same reason. <code>login<\/code> verifies credentials through <code>wp_authenticate()<\/code>, so every login filter and security plugin on the site still applies, and repeated failures from one address are locked out for fifteen minutes. The token is signed with a per-site secret generated with <code>random_bytes()<\/code> on first use, stored in an option and never included in any REST response. It carries a fingerprint of the password hash, so changing a password invalidates every token issued for that account.
