In Italy\nthe directive is transposed by Legislative Decree 30\/2026 into article 49 of\nthe Consumer Code, letters n-quater, v-bis and v-ter.<\/p>\n\n<p>WooCommerce has no place for any of this. The plugin adds the fields to the\nproduct and shows them on the product page.<\/p>\n\n<h4>What it does<\/h4>\n\n<ul>\n<li>Adds a \"Guarantees and repairability\" tab to the product data, with one field\nfor each item the law lists: repairability index (A to E), spare parts,\nestimated cost of spare parts, how to order them, repair and maintenance\ninstructions, repair restrictions, software updates, and the producer's\ncommercial guarantee<\/li>\n<li>Shows a tab with the same name on the product page, with only the fields you\nfilled in. When they are all empty nothing appears: an empty field never\nturns into \"not available\"<\/li>\n<li>Works alongside the Guarantee Notice plugin, which shows the harmonised\nnotice and the durability label, and tells you in the product when a product\nalready carries the label<\/li>\n<li>Admin screens in English and Italian<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4>What it does not do<\/h4>\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>It does not show the harmonised guarantee notice or the durability label.<\/strong>\nA free plugin already does that well, and this one recommends it<\/li>\n<li><strong>It does not tell whether the information is right.<\/strong> The information comes\nfrom the producer; the plugin shows what you write<\/li>\n<li><strong>It is not legal advice.<\/strong> Whether a shop meets the law in full is up to\nthe shop, and in doubt to a lawyer<\/li>\n<li><strong>It does not send anything anywhere.<\/strong> No outbound calls, no keys, no third\nparty services<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4>Who makes it<\/h4>\n\n<p>Ing. A phone has a\nrepairability index and software updates; a drill may have spare parts and\nrepair instructions; a T-shirt usually has none of these, and then its page\nstays as it is.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"where%20does%20the%20repairability%20index%20apply%3F\"><h3>Where does the repairability index apply?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Today only to smartphones and tablets, whose EU energy label carries a\nrepairability class from A to E (Regulation (EU) 2023\/1669). For the other\nproducts leave it empty and fill in spare parts, instructions and\nrestrictions.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"does%20it%20work%20with%20variable%20products%3F\"><h3>Does it work with variable products?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>The fields belong to the product. The variations show the fields of their\nproduct.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"can%20i%20fill%20the%20fields%20in%20bulk%3F\"><h3>Can I fill the fields in bulk?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Not from the screens of this version. The fields are product meta\n(<code>_vaglio_garanzie_indice<\/code>, <code>_vaglio_garanzie_ricambi<\/code> and so on), so any tool that writes\nproduct meta can fill them, the WooCommerce REST API included. The index\naccepts only the letters A to E: anything else is ignored on the product page.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"what%20happens%20to%20the%20fields%20if%20i%20uninstall%20the%20plugin%3F\"><h3>What happens to the fields if I uninstall the plugin?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Deactivating keeps them.
